Escape to Costa Rica by choosing a
package in which you will explore the country for 12 days-11
nights, going to the most known destinations: the cloud
forest in Monteverde, the incredible active Arenal Volcano
and the restoring hot springs, the relaxing beach and
the National Park in Manuel Antonio, and the rainforest
at the Osa Peninsula area, where the Corcovado National
Park is located with it’s unique biodiversity. |

Day 1. Arrival to San Jose - Monteverde |
|
A representative of the agency will greet you at
the exit of the airport and provide the transfer
to your hotel in the Monteverde area.
Here you will find the Monteverde Cloud Forest and
the Santa Elena Reserves, among other private reserves
and protected areas such as the Children’s
Eternal Rain Forest. Surrounded by a cool weather,
this is an incredible place for birdwatching, where
you might have the opportunity to observe the Resplendent
Quetzals and the Three-wattled Bell Birds. Monteverde
was founded by Quakers in 1951, who came to our
country looking for harmony and a peaceful lifestyle. |

Day 2. Monteverde |
| |
On this day you can take optional
tours/activities on the area such as visiting the cheese
factory of Monteverde, some of the art galleries, the
hummingbird area, the orchid garden or the serpentarium.
Some of the tours available are: canopy tours - one of
the best in the country -, horseback riding, sky-walk
(hanging bridges), hiking tours, night hiking tours and
the butterfly garden. |

| Day 3. Monteverde - Arenal |
|
| At this point you will continue
to the Arenal area. If you are not driving we can
arrange the shuttle bus or a private transfer, but
we invite you to experience a different way of transportation,
taking a land transfer from Monteverde to the Arenal
Lake and from there boarding a boat that will take
you to the Arenal area. If you enjoy horseback riding,
you can also include it in this adventure.
Arenal is located on the North Region of Costa
Rica and it is a rain forest destination, home
of the Arenal Volcano, which is active since 1968.
If the weather conditions allow it, you might
observe the occasional eruptions during the day
or the night, the ash and smoke columns and the
lava flows.
You can enjoy the evening at the hot springs,
relaxing and resting at the thermo mineral water
pools. You will be staying at a hotel in the Arenal
area. |

Day 4. Arenal |
| |
A day for optional activities. There
is a great variety of tours and activities in this area:
floating boat safaris, white water rafting, mountain biking,
horseback riding to La Fortuna Waterfall, hiking in the
National Park or to Celeste River, Cano Negro Wildlife
Refuge boat tour (birdwatching), kayaking tours, freshwater
fishing at Lake Arenal, and more.
You will spend the night in a hotel in the Arenal area.

Day 5. Arenal - Manuel Antonio |
|
Mid-morning departure
to the Manuel Antonio area, located in the Central
Pacific.
Manuel Antonio, which is located a few minutes away
from Quepos downtown, offers you a perfect combination
of rain forest and sand beaches. Manuel Antonio
National Park is a protected area where the rainforest
and the tropical dry forest overlap and you will
have the opportunity to observe wildlife: squirrel
monkeys, sloths, raccoons, coatis, howler monkeys
and white-faced capuchins monkeys. |

Day 6. Manuel Antonio |
| |
During this day you can relax at the
beach after taking a hiking trip through the rain forest
and the different trails at the National Park, or take
a one day tour in the area. Some of the activities you
can choose are: whitewater rafting, sea or mangrove kayaking,
canopy, visit to a butterfly garden, mangrove boat tour,
horseback riding, ATV tours, deep sea fishing and sunset
sails.

Day 7. Manuel Antonio |
|
A full day to enjoy
the beach, the hotel facilities or take another
half or full day tour.
Also you can end the day pampering yourself with
a massage or spa treatment.
This area offers you a great variety of restaurants
for dinner and also different bars, some of them
with a great view of the Pacific Ocean. |

Day 8. Manuel Antonio - Corcovado |
| |
Morning transfer to the airstrip in
Quepos to board your local flight to Palmar Sur, your
next stop before arriving to the Corcovado area. After
arriving a land transfer will take you to Sierpe where
you will board a boat to your hotel in the Drake Bay area.
This remote area of Corcovado is located on the South
Pacific area of Costa Rica, at the Osa Peninsula. Here
you will find Corcovado National Park and Cano Island,
two important protected areas. You will have the opportunity
to explore virgin and secondary rainforests and observe
all the great fauna and flora that enriches this zone.
Some of the species you might find on this part of our
country are scarlet macaws, toucans, reptiles and mammals. |

Day 9. Corcovado |
|
You will spend
your day in one of the remotes and undeveloped
areas of Costa Rica. You can choose from different
optional activities: birdwatching tours, hikes
in Corcovado National Park, Cano Island snorkeling
and hiking tour, sport fishing tours, scuba diving
tours, horseback riding tours, whales and dolphins
watching tours, night tours, canopy tours, kayaking.
You will be staying at a hotel
in Drake Bay area. |

Day 10. Corcovado |
| |
A day to explore the surrounding
areas or take an optional tour.
Most of the hotels have hammocks where you can rest
after an active day, enjoy a book or just the sounds
of the rainforest.

Day 11. Corcovado - San Jose |
|
At a determinate
time the hotel staff will provide transfer to the
local airstrip for your flight back to San Jose.
Transfer to your hotel in San Jose
Enjoy dinner at the hotel or go out to a restaurant
nearby. On some days of the week you can also choose
to attend a typical show and have dinner at Pueblo
Antiguo or at Ram Luna Restaurant, or enjoy an Equestrian
Show at Rancho San Miguel. |

Day 12. San Jose – International
Airport |
| |
According to your international
flight time, transfer to Juan Santamaria International
Airport.
Notes:
A first night in San Jose might be necessary depending
on your international flight arrival time. The last
night in San Jose might not be necessary depending on
the international flight departure time.
Transportation can be done by private
transfer or taking local flights to some of the destinations.
Also a rental car can be arranged or shuttle bus service
to some of the destinations.
All the packages are flexible and
each one will be customized to meet your specific requirements
