A 9 days-8 nights package for those
who are looking for adventure and want to discover and
explore the North Pacific beaches of Costa Rica. You will
visit Mal Pais and Santa Teresa beaches, on the west coast
of Nicoya Peninsula, and the Tamarindo or Papagayo areas,
where you will find a lot of hidden and small beaches.
Then you will continue exploring the Rincon de la Vieja
National Park area and nearby beaches. |

Day 1. Arrival to Liberia - Mal Pais or Santa Teresa |
|
Upon arrival to
Liberia, a representative will greet you at the
airport and provide the transfer to the Mal Pais
area, on the west coast of the Nicoya Peninsula.
Mal Pais Beach is a small village famous for
been a great place for surfing. To the north is
Santa Teresa Beach where you will enjoy white
sandy beaches. You will be staying at a hotel
in the area. |

Day 2-3. Mal Pais or Santa Teresa |
| |
From this area you can take one
day tours such as canopy, sport fishing, horseback riding
and snorkelling at nearby spots. Also, a hiking tour
can be arranged to Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve or a visit
to Curu Wildlife Refuge, where you will observe the
tropical forest and its wildlife. Choose one of those
activities or just relax by the beach and enjoy your
sunbath time.

Day 4. Mal Pais or Santa Teresa -
Tamarindo or Papagayo |
| |
| Morning departure
to the Tamarindo or Papagayo areas, depending on
your interest and the hotel you choose. Tamarindo
and nearby places offer a developed tourism area
with a lot of facilities and nightlife; Papagayo
beaches are less crowded and offer a more quiet
destination.
From both areas you can explore a great number
of hidden beaches, where you can enjoy the sand
and sun. |

Day 5-6. Tamarindo or Papagayo |
| |
From both destinations and nearby
areas you can take one day tours: Santa Rosa National
Park (dry forest and history), floating at Corobici
River, tour to Guaitil (aborigine made pottery), horseback
riding tours, canopy tours, white water rafting at Colorado
River, one full day visit to the Arenal Volcano area
or Palo Verde National Park (birdwatching).
You will be staying at a hotel in
the area of your choice. |

Day 7. Tamarindo Papagayo
- Rincon de la Vieja |
|
After exploring the north side beaches of the country,
you will depart to your hotel near the Rincon de
la Vieja area. On this place you will find Rincon
de la Vieja National Park which offers tropical
forest, waterfalls, thermal waters, and trails from
where you can observe steam vents, boiling mud and
water and the volcano itself.
You also might choose to go to Los Inocente Lodge,
located near La Cruz town, on the northern area
of the Guanacaste province. |

Day 8. Rincon de la Vieja |
| |
A day to explore the surrounding
areas, you can visit Rincon de la Vieja National Park
or take an optional tour to natural hot springs and
volcanic mud pots, hike the fumarola trail, enjoy a
horseback ride, discover the waterfalls, take a canopy
tour or a canyoing adventure. You can also visit one
of the beaches located on the northern side, such as
Junquillal and La Rajada, or Naranjo Beach located in
the Santa Rosa National Park.

Airport
Transfer to Daniel Oduber International Airport
in Liberia City, on time for your flight. |

Notes:
A first and last night in Liberia city might be necessary
depending on your international flight arrival and departure
time.
Transportation can be done by private transfer or renting
a car. Also shuttle bus service can be arranged to some
of the destinations.
